美國某校開課日, 一名印度新生 差德拉錫卡．蘇巴拉馬寧是四年級的新面孔。   
                                                                           
  The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some American History.  Who  
  said    'Give me Liberty, or give me Death'  "?                          
                                                                           
老師說：「我們首先溫習美國史。"不自由，毋寧死！" 是誰說的？」              
                                                                           
                                                                           
  She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Chandrasekhar,  who had his   
hand                                                                     
  up  .... "'Patrick Henry, 1775 .' he said.                              
  她看到同學 面 面相覷，只有差仔舉手。                                      
                                                                           
  「柏特烈．亨利，1775年。」差仔答。                                      
                                                                           
                                                                           
                                                                           
  “Very good !  Who said 'Government of the People, by the People, for the
            People, shall not perish from the Earth ?’ ''                  
      「答得好！那麼　"民治、民權、民享生永垂不朽"  是誰說的？」            
                                                                           
  Again, no response except from Chandrasekhar.                           
'Abraham Lincoln, 1863'    said Chandrasekhar.                           
                                                                           
  同樣沒有反應，差仔： 「亞伯拉罕．林肯，1863年。」                        
                                                                           
                                                                           
                                                                           
  The teacher snapped at the class, 'Class, you should be ashamed.        
  Chandrasekhar, who is new to our country, knows more about our history  
  than you do.'                                                            
  老師申斥全班同學：「你地呀...應該感到羞愧。差仔雖然是初來步到，         
但他認識本國歷 史比你們還多。」                                            
                                                                           
  She heard a loud whisper: " Fuck the Indians...."                        
  有人交頭接耳，聲音大得給她聽到了：「操他們印度人！」                    
                                                                           
  ''Who said that?' she demanded.                                          
            Chandrasekhar put his hand up. 'General Custer, 1862.'         
  「誰說的？」她問道。  差仔又舉手：「卡斯特將軍，1862年。」              
                                                                           
                                                                           
  At that point, a student in the back said, 'I'm gonna puke.'            
      這時一個坐後排的學生說：「真 作 嘔！」                                
                                                                           
  The teacher glared around and asked,  'All right! Now, who said that?'  
  老師眼光一掃：「好丫！今次是誰說的？」                                 
                                                                           
  Again, Chandrasekhar says, 'George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister,  
  1991.'                                                                  
    又係 差仔說：「喬治．布殊向日本首相說的，1991。」                     
                                                                           
                                                                           
  Now furious, another student yelled,  'Oh yeah? Suck this!'              
  此際，另一學生怒氣沖沖的叫囂：「真的一樣！食蕉啦你！」                    
                                                                           
  Chandrasekhar jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the  
  teacher,  'Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky..."                        
    差仔跳出他的椅子，一邊揮手一邊大聲向老師說：「克林頓向萊溫斯基說        
  的，1997。」                                                            
                                                                           
                                                                           
    Now with almost mob hysteria someone said 'You little shit. If you say  
  anything else, I'll kill you.'                                          
  此刻幾乎群情洶湧，又有人說："你個死仔，如果你再出聲，我就隊琳你。」      
                                                                           
  Chandrasekhar frantically yells at the top of his voice, ' Michael      
  Jackson to the child witnesses testifying against him, 2004.'            
    差仔瘋狂地高聲喊叫：「是米高積遜向那名作證指控他的孩子說的，2004年。」  
                                                                           
                                                                           
    The teacher fainted.                                                   
    And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone      
said,                                                                     
  'Oh shit,  we're screwed!'                                             
  老師暈倒了。同學上前圍觀躺在地上的老師，有人說：「仆街∼∼我地大鑊喇！」   
                                                                           
  And Chandrasekhar said quietly, 'I think it was Lehmann Brothers,        
  November 4th, 2008 '.                                                   
    差仔若無其事地說：「我認為這句話應該是雷曼兄弟講的，2008年11月4日。」
